Thanks! 1.3 BSA OPEN MIC venue now has its cafe open. Gallery G at The Beveled Edge, in The Rotunda, 711 W 40th St, in the Hampden area of Baltimore, has been a wonderful supporter of the BSA! Next open mic is April 21 - sign-up begins at 6:30 and the music starts at 7:00. 1.4 "SONGS FROM A CHARMED CITY" is now available. The first juried CD featuring BSA Members is loaded with 20 great songs. Looking for songwriters and writing teams ages 18-30, this project is devoted to the legacy of the American popular song. Advertising in or donating to "Music Monthly" are also ways to help support her. 7.2 CREATIVITY IN EDUCATION: ARTS EVERYDAY SUMMIT ON MAY 22- The Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA) is pleased to announce a collaboration with Arts Every Day and BOPA in a call for a day-long summit on the subject "Creativity in Education: Arts Every Day". This happens on May 22 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at CenterStage. Sir Ken Robinson will deliver the keynote address. Dr. Andres Alonso, CEO of the Baltimore City Public School System (BCPSS) will make remarks as well introduce our second presenter: Paul King of the New York City Department of Education who will discuss the NYC Schools Blueprint for the Arts. Mayor Dixon's invitation to participate is pending.
